Please Read!

I love it when people use the fonts, so don’t be shy about reading these terms. :) I always want the answer to be “Yes! I’d love it if you used my fonts!” These are free fonts and I want you to be able to use them for free. Here are the following terms to explain out how you can use these fonts for personal and commercial purposes.

  • Commercial use (anything that generates income) please display a link back with credit and enjoy for free OR purchase a commercial use license. No need to get my permission.

Hi Amanda!
Thank you so much for all of your free fonts!! I LOVE all of them!! :) I am teacher, and I am considering selling some products on Teachers Pay Teachers. I think from reading the terms of use that I will need to purchase a license, but I wanted to check to make sure. If I plan on selling worksheets/units that I have made that use your fonts, will I need to purchase the license to do so? Thank you so much for the clarification!! Have a good evening!

Hi Amanda,
Have been a big fan for years now. Looking at one of your recent posts about the evolution of your site, I can’t believe how long!!

I’ve recently designed a few sweet patterns for softies/cushions/stitcheries {for sale} and was hoping to include with the designs and instructions a printed alphabet for people to trace over to add their loved ones names to the designs. I would love to have your permission to use one of your scrapbooking fonts for this purpose. I’ll be posting about the finished prototypes {a softie and a cushion} within the next few days if you’d like to see what I mean. Will wait to hear from you before listing anything for sale.

Best wishes,
Kylie xo

I have a question, I’ve made a lesson plan book that I wanted to post on TeachersPayTeachers (TPT) and I was wondering if it was okay just to post a link at the end of the document as I can’t put buttons on the site? Thanks! :)

Hi!

I am designing a friend’s wedding invitations (and probably the save the dates & programs as well), and I’m thinking about using one of your fonts (I know which one I like, but I have to check what she likes best). I love all your fonts, though!

I am a visual communications student and would like to use her invitation as a part of my portfolio. She is a good friend of mine, plus I want to expand my portfolio – basically, won’t be charging her/making any income off of them. Is it ok if I still use your font?

Thanks so much!

Anna

Hello Amanda,

First, I wanted to say that I love your fonts. They are really fantastic.
I have this school project which requires me to do a PowerPoint presentation that would be uploaded to the school’s website. I would love to use some of your fonts for it, and I was wandering if you could give your permission to do so. The school requires me to hand in written proof of permission of use.

Thank you kindly,

Ariana

Amanda,

I love your fonts! I am not sure if I am clear about the licensing. I would like to use your fonts on word documents for teachers. I would then sell the word documents. Is this okay? Thanks for clearing up the confusion.

I downloaded peasnowflackdoodles for a blog client and installed it to create her text header. However, only the examples are showing up in all of my programs, i.e., Photoshop, MS Word, Etc… We intend to add the link back but the blog is not published yet. What am I missing and why is the font not functioning properly?

Many thanks,
Lynn

And I proudly put your button on my blog :)

First, thank you so much for the free fonts. I am a teacher and have started using them in the activities I create. I would like to start selling some of my creations on teacherspayteachers.com. I don’t have a blog but plan to start one within the next few months. I read the terms of use but since I don’t have a blog/webpage, can I still use them if I credit you in the packet? I could also send you a packet if you’d like. Please let me know when you get a chance! I appreciate what you are doing so much!

Amanda~ I just want to say thank you so much for such beautiful, original fonts! I downloaded them about a year ago but have been worried about using them out of fear of violating the TOU. After reading through the blog comments, I can see that my fears were unfounded and I’m so pumped to start creating with your work! You can bet I’ll be adding a button to both of my websites soon to send my fans back to you! Thank you for being so generous!

Hi Amanda, can’t see this question so hope it hasn’t been answered! Are we able to use the doodles as well? I want to create a logo and ‘brand’ though I’m not selling, just like the idea of playing and setting a consistent font etc. so I can have a continuous watermark. Currently I’m doing something different each time which is fine, but time consuming.
Hoped to use one of the doodles if possible :)
thanks so much
Fiona

Hi Amanda,
Firstly – thank you for your fonts, I absolutely love them. Secondly, I wanted to ask what a few other people have asked about using your font for a logo to watermark photos on Facebook (I’ve created one for a friend’s jewellery start-up) – how should we give you credit?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks again and best wishes,
Madison

Hi, I have a question. My mother was born in 1930 and apparently teachers were really serious about teaching cursive, because her handwriting was beautiful. She has passed away and I am in the process of designing both my mother & father’s ledgers for the cemetary. Ledgers are basically 3′ x 7′ slabs of granite that lay in front of the family monument. I would like to create a font from her handwriting to use on one area of her ledger. I don’t have the alphabet written out, just cards, letters, etc. Can you work with that? This would be such a great surprise to my siblings and sooo unique. Thanks for your thoughts on this!

I LOVE these fonts and have enjoyed using them for my own personal use for things for my classroom. I have never made anything to sell, and am wanting to use them for something very different now, but am not sure about this “gray” area. I recently started machine embroidery and would love to be able to use these fonts in my embroidery work. I am wanting to buy software to be able to take true type fonts and convert them into embroidery stitch fonts files for embroidery machines. Is this within your terms, as I would like to open an Etsy store and would be more than delighted to add your button to my page. I’m just not sure if I am able to do this because this would in a sense be selling the fonts, but not in the true type form they are in. I would so appreciate your approval to be able to covert them into stitch files and resell them with all credit given to you and your button present on the page. Is this possible and would I need to leave the font names as they currently are, if I have your permission to use it for this, or would the ones I use need to be renamed? Thanks :)

hello Amanda,

I love the cute handwriting fonts you’ve created! I just purchased a single commercial license for your “A Little Pot” font for a client project. The final product will be a printed copy of a digital painting, with children’s toy as the image and your font at the bottom saying something cute! I’m so excited to use it as it fits the picture perfectly — thank you for sharing!

Hi,

I purchased a single font license to use your font Wish I Were Taller on a series of posters I’m going to be selling on Teachers Pay Teachers.

I was wondering if you had a logo I might include in the copyright information of the product. If so, could you please email it to me?

Thank you.

I would like to use your fonts for vinyl decorated items to sell on Etsy and craft fairs, etc. Would including your link on my Etsy page and/or in the product descriptions be within your terms of use or would I need to purchase a commercial license? I am just getting started and do not want to put spend too much money until I start generating an income. Thank you so much!

Kevin and/or Amanda,

I’m sure you’ve been asked this before, but I couldn’t find anything on it in your terms of use. Your terms seem to be geared toward to use online (given you ask for a “link” to be displayed).
I wanted to know if, for printed use of your fonts, I could include “For the font used here and many more like it, please check out http://www.FontsForPeas.com” or something similar printed on a “special thanks” page.
I’m wanting to write and self publish a children’s book (or series of books if it goes well), and I think one of your fonts (haven’t yet decided which) would be absolutely perfect for it.
But if you’d rather, I suppose I can purchase the font (I would still include the said credit).

Also, a logo would be good if you have a small one I can display next to this text. PNG or SVG would be ideal.

If you could email me with an answer, a logo and/or any other preferences as to how you would like the credit to appear in my book, I would be very grateful.

Regards,
Jacob Johnson
